AED University Rental Management Certification Requirements
The AED Rental Management Certification program recognizes individuals who have contributed to their company through exemplary skills and expertise. These individuals have also completed a professional education program that emphasizes best practices in areas essential to managing a construction equipment dealership.

Certification recognizes industry professionals for completion of required position-related training, their skills and expertise, and job performance at an exemplary level.
Professional Education Requirements
To meet the professional education requirements of the AED Rental Management Certification, you will need a minimum of 48 hours of formal training (4.8 CEUs) within the past five years. The cost of this training is additional. Click here for a cost summary via AEDU.
The objectives of the first three courses meet requirements for management of Rental Operations as well as the responsibilities of managing People, Customer and Financial aspects of a Rental department in a construction equipment dealership. Additional training in each of these areas is needed- see the requirements below.
Required training includes the following:
1.2 CEUs (12 hours) of formal People Management training.

Training via dealer, manufacturer, public or private educational institution is also acceptable, however, this training must meet learning objectives addressed by one or more of the following topic areas: leadership, diversity, motivation, goal setting, delegating, coaching, performance review skills, interviewing, recruitment and retention, time management, stress management and understanding employment laws, and other topics upon approval.
0.6 CEUs (6 hours) of formal Customer/Sales Management training.

Training via dealer, manufacturer, public or private educational institution is also acceptable, however, this training must meet learning objectives addressed by one or more of the following topic areas: leadership, diversity, motivation, goal setting, delegating, coaching, performance review skills, interviewing, recruitment and retention, time management, stress management and understanding employment laws, and other topics upon approval.
0.8 CEUs (8 hours) of formal Financial Management training.
